Small Business Networking Events
Parenting Business Connections
A supportive, online networking community, for small business owners who work with parents

I’m Sarah, the founder of Parenting Business Connections.
Several years ago, I wanted to join a group for people who work with parents, but I couldn’t find one – so I created one!
Parenting Business Connections has grown from there and I love hearing about the connections and collaborations that have come about through the group and the membership.

The free Facebook group and the networking membership provide great opportunities for making connections, forming collaborations and getting new clients.
What our members say
“The group is fun, friendly, supportive and so welcoming. Even after one session, I felt like I had got to know people and wanted to join the membership so that I could go every week.
I even changed my working day in my part time job so I could attend.
With the networking session, co-working session and a business brainstorming session – where you can take any questions and all work on them together – the membership is an absolute bargain.”

Neurospicy Parenting
“The weekly networking and co-working on Thursdays is so refreshing to be a part of.
Lots of great small business owners to connect with and do business with in this space; no egos and ambition in abundance.
Parenting business connections has grown from strength to strength over the years and there is no lack of off-script conversations that unearth a lot more information beyond running a business.”

What makes our networking different?
From coaches to copywriters and psychologists to social media experts, everyone in the group understands the positives and the challenges of working with parents and most of us in here are parents ourselves.
If we’re not your ideal clients, then chances are, we’ll know lots of people who are.
One of our members once said,
“The Facebook group is great, but the networking is the icing on the cake!”

Our ethos and mission
At Parenting Business Connections, we believe that the best way to connect and make sales is through conversations, rather than pitches, so you won’t find timed pitches or hard sell tactics in our networking sessions.
Instead, there are mini-breakout rooms of 3-4 people for 15 minutes, so you can get to know the people behind each business, as well as what they offer.
It’s a relaxed way to meet like-minded people who share your target audience and to make sales.
What our members say
“I would encourage you to jump in to one of the weekly networking events. It’s rare to find such a welcoming and inclusive networking space, where you can show up as you are and meet real genuine good people”

What our members say

We know that running a business single-handedly can sometimes feel isolating and the private Facebook group and business brainstorming sessions enable members to get advice and help when needed.
At Parenting Business Connections, we care about sales, but also about each other.
Showcase your skills
Offering advice for free during the brainstorming sessions, talks and takeovers, is also a great way for members to naturally showcase their skills and knowledge, which often leads to direct sales and referrals.
Our members range from highly experienced business owners, to people new to business.
Parenting Business Connections is a community, where sales and strong business connections are made.

What our members say
“Being a member of the Parenting Business Connections community has been a huge help to me as a small business owner.
The weekly networking and co-working events are relaxed, supportive and friendly and have led to friendships, sales and great help with issues.”

Frequently asked questions
I have small children at home, is it OK if they're here in the background?
Of course. Most of our members are parents, some with older children and some with younger children, who will often make an appearance at our meetings.
We understand how difficult it is to juggle running a business around caring for your children and we want to make it as easy as possible for you.
Will I be expected to prepare a timed pitch?
Definitely not. We find that conversational networking is the best way to make connections, form collaborations and get new clients.
Will there be pressure to sign up to the membership?
Not at all. After the event, you’ll be sent some information about it, in case you’d like to join, but there is no expectation and you certainly won’t be pestered. Inviting Facebook group members to a free session brings new faces and variety to our regular members, so it’s a win all round.
When are your networking sessions?
Our networking sessions take place at 9:30am -10:30am (UK time) on Wednesdays.
Co-working sessions are straight after the Wednesday networking sessions from 10:30 on Wednesday to 12:00pm.
Business Brainstorming sessions take place on Thursdays from 1pm-2pm (UK time)
